西秦岭地处我国中心,在地质构造位置上为我国南北地台(华北准地台与扬子准地台)分野——秦岭褶皱系的西端;同时,又为我国南北地震带经过处。在构造上颇受国内各地质学者的注意。历来各地质学者对西秦岭的地质问题提出了多种观点与解释。无疑,对探讨西秦岭地质真实面貌是十分有意义的。但地质历史是复杂的,要使认识符合于客观的真实,必须反复地去认识,用多种方法去探讨。本文在学习板块学说中,试对西秦岭的地质构造进行初步分析并对其构造带划分进行尝试性探讨。但由于笔者学识肤浅,囿于管见,不妥之处
