Point of view is an important term in narratology.Generally speaking,there are three types of point of view:the first-person points of view,second-person points of view,and third-person points of view.Besides a brief introduction to the first two types,this paper mainly focuses on the third-person points of view,which develops into the omniscient point of view as well as the limited point of view.To better understand the limited point of view in a work of fiction,one of Katherine Mansfield’ s short stories Miss Brill will be used to illustrate it.
