A new trend is emerging in the U.S. press: more and more black journalists have left the press to find another way out. These “quit” blacks are men. Many black journalists think they have been exhausted, staying in the press, or being squeezed out of the press. These black male journalists first broke the racial boundaries and engaged themselves in news and media such as newspapers and radio. Now, they left the press in droves. William Sutton, a journalist who runs a newspaper on the Philadelphia Metropolis, and a member of the National Negociation Council, said: “The largest minority of journalists I know about the press are those who are already mentally handicapped. Most are not satisfied with the progress they have made in the press. ”Sutton said most of these black journalists are up and down at the age of 40, but some are around 30 years old.
