Researchers from South Korea reported in a recent Journal of Allergy that there seems to be a correlation between the month of birth and the susceptibility of asthmatic children to house dust mites. Young Yull Koh, MD, of Seoul National University Hospital, and colleagues pointed out that early exposure to large amounts of allergens has a major impact on the incidence of atopic allergies; in fact, a substantial proportion of subjects allergic to house dust mites are born Dust mites in the room the most season.
