目前的初中英语课堂对颜色词的教学涉及较少。笔者曾在所在学校调查发现,大部分学生认为教师在课堂上很少涉及关于颜色词的短语或俚语,而相当一部分学生表示他们对颜色词的拓展用法很有兴趣。在教师访谈时也发现,大部分学生只是掌握了颜色词的字面意思,而对其涵义,特别是文化内涵却知之甚少。众所周知,中英文中存在大量的颜色词,但人们对其却有不同的理解和使用。究其原因,是不同文化背景下的人们由于思维方式的差异,而对某些颜色产生类似或不同的联想。“语言反映一个民族的特征,它不仅包含着该民族的历史和文化背景,而且蕴藏着该民族
The current junior high school English class teaching color words less involved. The author’s survey in his school found that most students think that teachers rarely involve phrases or slangs about color words in the classroom, and a significant proportion of students indicate that they are very interested in developing the use of color words.
