Objective To understand the status quo and distribution characteristics of junior high school students’ behavioral problems, analyze the influencing factors and provide the basis for the corresponding intervention measures. Methods A total of 3559 first- and second-year students from 4 middle schools in Bengbu City were enrolled in the study. Students’ behavioral problems were investigated and assessed with the Conners Children’s Behavior Questionnaire (Parent Questionnaire), and demographic variables , Children’s birth, mother’s pregnancy history. Six kinds of behavioral problems and the total behavioral problems were detected, the distribution characteristics of behavioral problems in different demographic variables were analyzed, and the univariate and multivariate analysis of the influencing factors were carried out. Results The detection rate of junior high school students’ total behavioral problems was 8.0%, 7.4% for first-year students and 8.6% for second-year students, with no significant difference (x2 = 1.51, P = 0.22); only child was 8.0% (X2 = 0.026, P = 0.87). There was no significant difference in the detection rates among all age groups (11-16 years old) (x2 = 6.687, P = 0.083) (X2 = 20.51, P = 0.000). Logistic regression analysis showed that the main risk factors for behavior problems of junior high school students were girls, low educational level of mothers, education of children as father or On the one hand, parents have different education attitudes, adopt punishment-based education, discord in family atmosphere, older or under-aged mothers, mother’s history of abortion, mother’s pregnancy anemia, mother’s high gestation during early pregnancy, child’s birth asphyxia And neonatal jaundice hospital.
