正确引导舆论,是党报的功能之一。但对这一功能的理解,有些地方却走了点调儿。某家日报因为近段时间接连发表了几篇揭露问题的报道,惹得一些人不自在,虽然所揭露的都是事实。上级因此批评报社说:“我们有那么多的好东西,干嘛要写那些不好的东西呢?党报要正确引导舆论嘛!”言外之意,批评报道不能算“正确引导舆论”。类似的看法不鲜见。因为是上级的看法,报纸发表批评报道只好慎而又慎。结果慎来慎去,往往是最好不登,省却了报纸的麻烦,说不定还可博得个“正确引导舆论”的夸奖。 Correctly guiding public opinion is one of the functions of the party newspaper.
