年过半百的澳籍华人陈佩珊女士,儿女成才、家境富有,而她却毅然到了广东省穷困山区做义务教师,是什么促使她做出这样的选择呢?孩子们的眼睛把她留下来2000年春,已经回香港居住的澳大利亚籍华人陈佩珊跟着几个朋友来广东旅游。同行的一位朋友说她在怀集县山区资助了几个读不起书的孩子,当时陈佩珊很惊讶:“广东很富呀,怎么会有读不起书的孩子?”一位广东游客告诉她:“广东周边许多大山里人们生活得很艰难,许多孩子因为家里没钱上不了学。”于是陈佩珊跟着朋友去了怀集。
Over 100 years old, Ms. Chen Peishan, an Australian-Chinese, has succeeded in children and has rich family life. However, she resolutely went to work as a compulsory teacher in the impoverished mountainous areas of Guangdong Province. What prompted her to make such a choice? The eyes of the children left her with the spring of 2000 Chen Peishan, an Australian Chinese who has resided in Hong Kong, traveled to Guangdong with several friends. A colleague’s friend said she funded several children who could not afford books in the mountainous areas of Huaiji County when Chen Peishan was very surprised: “Guangdong is so rich and how can there be children who can not afford to read books?” A Guangdong tourist told She said: “In many mountains around Guangdong, people live in a difficult situation, and many children can not study because they have no money at home.” So Pei-Shan followed Huaiji with her friends.
