许集美于1924年8月出生于福建省晋江县安海镇桥头村,15岁加入中国共产党,离休前任福建省第五届、第六届政协副主席。日前,我们采访了这位抗日战争时期入党的老同志,听他介绍抗战期间的经历。“我差点就成了华侨”晋江是福建省著名的侨乡,去南洋的人很多,几乎家家都有海外关系。许集美有兄弟姐妹5人,他是老小,姐姐很早就去了菲律宾。1937年底,亲戚帮助许集美搞到了去菲律宾的护照。当时金门已经被日本侵略者占领,许集美兄弟3人只好坐船绕道金门到厦门办理出国的手续。
Xu Jimei was born in Qiaotou Village, Anhai Town, Jinjiang County, Fujian Province in August 1924 and joined the Chinese Communist Party at the age of 15, retiring from the fifth and sixth vice-chairmen of the CPPCC in Fujian Province. Recently, we interviewed this old comrades who joined the party during the Anti-Japanese War and heard about his experiences during the war of resistance against Japan. “I almost became an overseas Chinese.” Jinjiang is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Fujian Province. Many people went to Southeast Asia and almost all of them had overseas relations. Xu Jimei 5 brothers and sisters, he is the youngest sister to go to the Philippines very early. By the end of 1937, relatives helped Xu Jimei get a passport to the Philippines. At that time, Kinmen had been occupied by the Japanese invaders, and three of the Xu Jimei brothers had to go by boat to go to Xiamen to go abroad for formalities.
