This paper discusses the characteristics, developmental conditions and formation mechanism of dumping deformation of rocky slope along the steep dip. The Bailongjiang main stream is affected by the regional tectonic setting conditions. The development of longitudinal valleys and the development of the siliceous slate and phyllite of the Bailongjiang Silurian Silurian in both banks of the river valley, especially in the areas of Zhouqu and Wudu in Gansu, Silk sericite, carbonaceous phyllite-based. The bank slope stability is poor in these mainstream sections, especially the landslide along the strata bank is well developed, and is characterized by slip-bend (collapse) and slip-pull mode. Through the investigation and analysis of Ⅶ # landslide of Bailu Gorge hydropower station and Qingyuling landslide of Bikou hydropower station and Mengjiagougou landslide of Bailong hydropower station, it is revealed that there is also the development in steep and stratified rocky slope A special dumping failure mode, that is, slip-dump mode. The deformation of this kind of deformation mostly develops in the condition of avalanches, the slope is more than 40 °, which is composed of soft and hard interphase or soft and hard interlayered rock strata with high and steep bedding rock inclination generally above 65 °, Under the action of water, earthquakes and other actions, the initial tilting deformation occurs at the foot of the slope first. At the same time, the upper part of the rock mass slips and falls down, and finally the rock strata undergoes continuous bending and deformation. The root breaks down and the fracture surface penetrates to form the landslide.
