There are many kinds of musical instrument images in Yungang Grottoes. These musical actors holding musical instruments reflect the Buddha-like scene of the people’s longing for joy and happiness, and recreate the music culture of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The carving of these Kandi people provides an important basis for future generations to study the history of ancient Chinese music and the development of music history in the Northern Wei Dynasty. It had a far-reaching impact on the development of musical art in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. It occupied an important position in the history of art and music in China. It was also the historical testimony of the friendly exchanges, cultural exchanges and national integration between China and other Asian countries.
