谈起禅智内供的鼻子,池尾地方无人不晓。它虽有五六寸长,从上唇上边一直垂到颔下。形状是上下一般粗细,酷似香肠那样一条细长的玩艺儿从脸中央耷拉下来。 内供已年过半百,打原先当沙弥子的时候起,直到升作内道场供奉的现在为止,他心坎上始终为这鼻子的事苦恼着。当然,表面上他也装出一副毫不介意的样子。不仅是因为他觉得作为一个应该专心往生净土的和尚,不宜惦念鼻子,更重要的还是他不愿意让人家知道他把鼻子的事放在心上。平素言谈之中,他最怕提“鼻子”这个词儿。
