元代诗人周巽非常重视乐府诗创作,创作了15首新乐府。他的创作承接唐宋新乐府而来,表现为对新乐府创作的主动接受与认同,并效仿前人创作,除了对元白新乐府三三七句式的效仿,在内容上也有对唐人新乐府题材的继承。周巽还具有鲜明的歌唱新乐府的意识,在形式上也做好了入乐歌唱的准备。部分新乐府借新题咏时事,借古讽今,表现了诗人的忧患意识。
Zhou Yuan, a poet of the Yuan Dynasty, attached great importance to the creation of Yuefu poetry and created 15 new Yuefu. His works inherited from the New Song Dynasty in Tang and Song dynasties.
