Due to the seawater environment contains a lot of chloride, marine effluent copper corrosion occurred before the water, resulting in copper oxide and chloride. In this paper, 22 pieces of bronze fragments from the watertight shipwreck in Guangdong “Nan’ao Ⅰ” wreckage were taken as research objects. X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy -EDS) were used to analyze the corrosion products and mineral compositions. The results show that the corrosion products are mainly copper basic chlorides, such as Cu2 (OH) 3Cl and Cu (OH) Cl. OH) Cl is not common in foreign marine copper corrosion products.
