It has been 40 years since the U.S. television started to make live coverage of the bipartisan National Assembly that elected presidential candidates. In 1948, there were only four television networks in the United States with fewer than 300 journalists and technicians. Their programs were broadcast on 18 radio stations in nine cities, with NBC and Dumont Broadcasting Company each being made of two television sets Business operators.
