Since the independence of Pakistan on August 14, 1947, the armed forces have been directly coupled three times. Four military junta have been established and the power has been in power for more than 30 years. Even in the period of democratically elected government, the military’s influence on politics has always existed. It is forbidden for the people in the fields of national defense and diplomacy and for the people not to choose the government. The military’s repeated intervention in politics and the longer administration of power not only illustrated the important influence of the military in the political life of the country, but also reflected the vulnerability of democratically elected government. Based on the gradual politicization of the PLA troops, this article explores the reasons for the formation of the political role of the Pakistani army.
