内蒙古自治区在西部大开发进程中全面推进“十大工程”,实现山川秀美、边疆安定、兴区富民的目标。 交通建设工程:主要以公路建设为 重点,力争建成“三横九纵十二出口”公 路干线网。近期主要是加快建设另一条 呼和浩特到包头高速公路、呼和浩特经 集宁到老爷庙高速公路,加快集宁到张 家口、锡林浩特到桑根达来（锡桑）、赤峰 到大黑山、呼和浩特到准格尔铁路前期 工作。

The recent major is to speed up the construction of another Hohhot to Baotou Expressway, Hohhot Jietun to Laoyemiao Expressway, to speed up Jining to Zhangjiakou, Xilinhot to Mulgangdae (Xisang), Chifeng to Montenegro, Hohhot to Zhungeer Railway preparatory work.
