根据英国投资局(IBB)的统计资料显示,自1994-2000年,英国的外商投资金额从1400亿英镑左右增长到2524亿英镑。从各外商投资比例来看,1989-1998年日本在欧盟的投资金额的百分比中,英国就占了46％,其次是荷兰。1999年美国在欧盟投资中英国占41％,居首位,而在德国的对外投资金额中,英国占13.2％,仅次于美国及荷兰。 从1999-2000年,英国吸引外来投资达757项,在整体产业中信息产业占所有新外来投资的首位,其中又以软件产业居多,占216项。从产业型态来看,制造业仍居新外来投资的首位,达304项。服务业的比例则快速增长,达289项。
According to statistics from the British Institute of Investment (IBB), since 1994-2000, the amount of foreign investment in the United Kingdom has increased from 140 billion pounds to 252.4 billion pounds. From the perspective of foreign investment, from 1989 to 1998 Japan accounted for 46% of the EU’s investment, followed by the Netherlands. In 1999, the United States accounted for 41% of the EU’s investment in the EU, ranking the first, while in Germany’s foreign investment amount, the United Kingdom accounted for 13.2%, second only to the United States and the Netherlands. From 1999 to 2000, the United Kingdom attracted 757 foreign investments. In the overall industry, the information industry accounted for the top of all new foreign investments, of which the software industry was the largest, accounting for 216 items. In terms of industry type, manufacturing ranks first in foreign investment with a total of 304 items. The proportion of service industries grew rapidly to 289.
