Businesses become market winners because of the superior performance of wealth creation, not because of their ability to control costs. Business executives must “create wealth” when they run a company. To do this, business executives must find ways to help them make the right judgments. Specifically, business executives need four sets of diagnostic tools: basic information, productivity information, competency information, and information related to the allocation of scarce resources.
