Gevelot, based in the Saint-Germain-l’Avalé region in eastern Paris, France, a company well-known for its ammunition production, owned a number of its Gevarm subsidiaries in the 1950s Submachine guns, of which the most famous D3 / D4 type. These guns are rudimentary in appearance and are simple in design and use the automatic gun-free principle. This extremely simple design concept is mainly based on the war experience for low-cost, easy mass production considerations. Compared with the increasingly sophisticated design and the increasingly complex structure of the firearms, this type of operation is easy and the simple structure of the firearms has become another aspect of the light weapons industry.
