The experimental apparatus of combustion to detonation was designed and fabricated, and a corresponding test system was set up to study the mechanism of combustion detonation detonation in NEPE propellant charge. And with a large drop hammer as a loading means, impacting the NEPE propellant sample, the experiment found that the damage obviously promoted the change of the combustion of the pellet charge to detonation, and increased the danger of using the propellant.
