《聊斋志异》中《促织》的创作,除受到广为人知的沈德符《万历野获编》和吕毖《明小史》中两则记载的影响外,与刊刻于明末的《帝京景物略》也颇有关系。康熙二十三年(1684),蒲松龄在其任塾师的淄川显宦华家得观《帝京景物略》,对该书记事状物的文学手法十分称赏,并选编了其中的部分篇章。将《促织》与《帝京景物略》中涉及蟋蟀的内容加以对照则发现,二者在捕捉地点、捕捉者、捕捉及畜养的工具与方法、蟋蟀品种、斗虫之法等诸多方面的记述有相合之处,而且有些原话也被照抄。毫无疑问,小说《促织》是参考《帝京景物略》的有关内容创作而成的。
