本文对加拿大文坛巨匠罗伯逊·戴维斯的代表作《多事之人》做初步分析,以此透视戴维斯对幸福的理解。戴维斯在《多事之人》中融入了他对荣格个性化理论的深刻感悟,提炼出邓斯坦·兰姆奇这个因自我失衡而饱受内心折磨的人,并探讨了解放、治疗这种失衡的较为切实可行的方法。在整个故事叙述过程中,戴维斯向世人证明,一个个体,无论他在客观世界中如何成功,若想获得真正的幸福,都需要且必须审视并接纳易冲动、无理性的自我,即实现个性化,否则,灵魂将得不到安宁,也无从言说获得人生的幸福。
This article makes a preliminary analysis of the masterpiece of Robertson Davis, a masterpiece of Canadian literary world, “The Person Who Doing Multiplicity”, in order to see Davis’ understanding of happiness. Davies incorporated his insights into Jung’s personalization theory into The Troubled Man, extracting Duncan Langchurch, a man suffering from inward self-imbalance, and examining the emancipation and treatment This imbalance is more practical method. Throughout the story, Davis proves to the world that an individual, whatever his success in the objective world, needs and must examine and embrace the impulsive, irrational ego, that is to say, to achieve true happiness Personalized, otherwise, the soul will not get peace, there is no way to get the happiness of life.
