李庆霖原系福建省莆田县的一名小学教师。1972年12月,他给毛泽东主席写信,反映他儿子李良模(上山下乡知识青年)在农村劳动期间的口粮、住房、看病等方面的困难,以及知青工作中存在的拉关系、走后门等不正之风。1973年4月,毛主席给他复信:“李庆霖同志:寄上三百元,聊补无米之炊。全国此类事甚多,容当统筹解决。”当年5月,中央把毛主席的复信和李的原信印发全国公社、街道以上各级党委,传达到上山下乡知青和广大群众。6
Li Qinglin was originally a primary school teacher in Putian County, Fujian Province. In December 1972, he wrote a letter to Chairman Mao Zedong, reflecting the difficulties of his son Li Liangmo (knowledgeable youth from going to the countryside) during the labor period in rural areas such as rations, housing and medical treatment, as well as the existing tension in the work of educating young people and going backwards wind. In April 1973, Chairman Mao replied to him: “Comrade Li Qinglin: Send three hundred yuan to make up for the lack of rice, and there are so many such things in the country that Rongtong can be co-ordinated to resolve the issue.” In May of that year, the Central Government sent Chairman Mao’s reply And Li’s original letter printed the National Commune, the streets above the party committees at all levels, to the countryside and educated youth and the masses. 6
