各高校均在1999年正式执行使用新的教学计划。随着新教学计划的采用,改革教学内容,重视学科建设,理清学科关系,从根本上改变各科教材思想僵化、观念落伍、知识陈旧、拼凑和重复现象严重的状况,势必成为当前和今后一段时期,教学改革的中心任务。基于这一认识,选取学校体育学现用教科书中,关于“体育教学原则”和“体育教材编选原则”作为分析问题的切入点,反思其内容“失当”的认识错误和思想根源,以期为该学科对教学内容进行全面、彻底地改革,提供理论依据。
