The author discusses the immunological aspects of vasculitis in this article. The individual’s immune response can determine the occurrence, type, and / or extent of vasculitis. However, little is known about its mechanism. In addition to circulating immune complexes that have not yet been elucidated to stimulate antigens, the appearance of granulomas in some vasculitis suggests that cell-mediated immune mechanisms are also important. In some patients, serial assays of immune complexes or complement may be used as a basis for evaluation of disease activity and efficacy. The following were immune complexes, complement, cryoglobulin, rheumatoid factor and cell-mediated immunity were clarified.
