目前Norplant皮下埋植剂已在40多个国家和地区使用，接受此法避孕的妇女已超过20万人。1984年2月经我国卫生部药政局批准，国家计划生育委员会和人口理事会协商达成在中国试用Norplant皮下埋植剂的协议。经过几年努力，经全国10个临床中心试用，已完成了对中国妇女Norplant皮下埋植避孕法的可接受性研究，取得了满意的结果，现已有2万多妇女接受此法避孕，并批准进一步在全国17个省市的中心扩大临床使用。
Currently Norplant subcutaneous implants have been used in more than 40 countries and regions. More than 200,000 women have contracted contraception. In February 1984, approved by the Chinese Pharmacological Administration of the Ministry of Health, the State Family Planning Commission and the Population Council reached an agreement to try out Norplant implants in China. After several years of hard work, the trial of 10 clinical centers in China has completed the study on the acceptability of the Norplant subcutaneously implanted contraceptive method in Chinese women, and has achieved satisfactory results. More than 20,000 women have now been contracted by this method and Approved to further expand the clinical use of 17 centers in the country.
