通过对山楂粉蝶核型多角体病毒（ＡｐｏｒｉａｃｒａｔａｅｇｉＮＰＶ简称ＡｃｒＮＰＶ）对其４龄虫食量影响的试验结果表明：当气温在２０℃以上。相对湿度为５０％左右，病毒浓度为３．３２５×１０７ＰＩＢ／ｍｌ时，ＡｃｒＮＰＶ毒力强，杀虫效果好。第９ｄ，２０ｈ感病幼虫的死亡率达１００％。感病幼虫与健虫食量相比，１～３ｄ下降１６％；４～６ｄ下降４６％；７～９ｄ下降８２．４％。因此在山楂粉蝶幼虫３龄末，４龄初施毒防治，会收到良好的效果。
