Pentavalent tungsten is a strong reducing agent and is very unstable in the air. For ordinary capacity analysis, with pentavalent tungsten as a standard solution is not convenient. In Coulomb analysis, pentavalent tungsten has not been reported as a coulometric titrant. This article examines the impact of various experimental factors on the production of pentavalent tungsten by electrolysis. It has been experimentally determined that in current of 3 N sulfuric acid, 1 N phosphoric acid and 0.4 N sodium tungstate electrolyte at current densities of less than 2.5 mA per square centimeter or in 2.4 N sulfuric acid, 1 N phosphoric acid and 0.34 N sodium tungstate
