With yttrium oxide (Y_2O_3) dispersion strengthened high temperature alloys have been formed commodity series. The first alloy, MA-753, was evolved from the Nironic 80A alloy. Its high temperature endurance is superior to Nimonic 80A and TD Ni, but not for turbine blades due to insufficient mid-temperature strength.
