Mexican researchers report that Psyllium is a soluble fiber that significantly reduces fasting glucose and serum triglyceride and cholesterol levels in people with type-D diabetes. In this placebo-controlled double-blind study, patients with this disease received either 5 g (62) or placebo (63) of the product containing this product (Metamu-cil) in 250 ml of water before meals, 3 times
