Recently, the Motorola Semiconductor Products Division introduced a new 128 × 65LCD driver chip MC 141800A for mobile communications. This chip can be widely used in pagers, cell phones, PHS and other data terminals and other portable products. The MC141800A is capable of driving 128 × 65 full-dot-color monochrome STN LCDs. It is an ultra-low power LCD driver IC that consumes only 1μA in standby mode. The 0.65μm process integrates all common segment driver output lines, voltage generator, smart bias divider, serial / parallel interface, temperature compensation line and contrast control line into a single chip.
