马友友是享誉世界的华裔大提琴演奏家。上世纪1990年代,由在美国的马友友的母亲马卢雅文口述,拉洛博士撰写英文原稿,再由陈善伟博士翻译成中文,出版了《我的儿子马友友》一书(人民音乐出版社)。该书以生动亲和的笔触,描述了马友友从出生到17岁进入哈佛大学的音乐经历,目的是要告诉年轻人生命是艰苦的奋斗,而痛苦是成长的一部分,并从字里行间流露出家庭之爱对于一个艺术家度过困难历程的强大的力量。本刊特摘编部分章节,以飨读者。
Yo-Yo Ma is a world renowned Chinese cellist. In the 1990s, written by Maloyun, the mother of Yo-Yo Ma of the United States, Dr. Lalo wrote English manuscripts and then Dr. Chen Shanwei translated it into Chinese. He published “My Son, Yo-Yo Ma” (People’s Music Press). The book, vivid and intimate brushwork, describes Yo-Yo Ma’s musical experience from entering Harvard from birth to 17 years old. The purpose of the book is to tell young people that life is a hard struggle and pain is part of growing up and revealing families through the lines Love is a powerful force for an artist to pass a difficult journey.
