Surgical incisions are wounds added to the patient during surgical treatment, which is a painful price for the patient to recover. Therefore, it is the surgeon’s responsibility to ensure that the “inevitable” wounds are best treated. However, as of now, the statistically sterile incisions at home and abroad are still about 1-2%. After the liberation, the leaders of the party and the health department paid great attention to this issue. The Chinese Surgical Society established an early standard for incision healing and issued a monograph calling for all surgeons to work hard to reduce and eliminate surgical incisions. With the attention of the party and the head of the hospital, the foreign department performed a total of 445 aseptic surgeries from March 1955 to June 1958 to 3 years and another 4 months. There was no case of suppuration, see attached table. This fact fully proves that the superior’s call is completely correct.
