The present study measured the cardiorespiratory status of 162 middle-aged and elderly workers in different industries, aged 40-60, of whom 110 were males and 52 were females. The results showed that there was a significant gender difference in cardiopulmonary function, and the average level of cardiopulmonary function was only 73% -78% in men. The average level of FVC% in 40-49 age group was significantly higher than that in 50-60 age group (P <0.05). It suggested that the FVC% decreased with age, the average level of cardiopulmonary function in different types of labor had no significant difference (P> 0.05). Correlation analysis showed that the correlation between cardiorespiratory function index and WAI was low, and the relationship between cardiorespiratory function index and WAI cross-classification was also lack of statistical significance. The possible reasons were discussed in this paper.
