“If you want to become a full-time dancer, the first thing to think about is that you should have a sound physique.” The words are quoted from the Letters of Dance and Dancing Episode by George Novière, a famous ballet master of the 19th century. Think of it as a must-read book for every serious dance student. In this book, Novell illustrates the physiological qualities that a large number of dancers must possess. Any material selection that excludes his theory is incomplete. So far, these theories have the same realistic guiding significance as the 1760s.
