对于地幔超镁铁质包体的研究,本世纪六十年代以前,仅限于描述岩石学和单纯的矿物化学的讨论。现在,经历了上地幔计划,已进入到与板块构造假说直接联系的区域岩石学和地球化学阶段。但目前,由于人们尚不能直接观察上地幔物质,超镁铁质包体及其载体玄武岩,无疑是研究上地幔最直观、最有效的对象了。这对地幔的部分熔融、岩浆起源、深部构造等重大地质问题的研究有着十分重要的意义。
For the study of mantle mafic inclusions, the discussion of petrology and pure mineral chemistry was limited to the 1960s. Now that it has undergone the upper mantle program, it has entered the stage of regional petrology and geochemistry directly related to the plate tectonics hypothesis. However, at present, it is undoubtedly the most intuitive and effective object to study the upper mantle, because people can not directly observe the upper mantle material, ultramafic inclusions and their carrier basalts. This is of great significance for the study of some major geological problems such as partial melting of the mantle, magma origin and deep tectonics.
