严格意义上说,《致加西亚的信》算不上一本书,甚至算不上一本小册子,它只是一篇只有24个段落的文章而已。后来的出版商把当事人的回忆文章、名家书评等加入其中,才勉强拼凑出一本薄薄的小册子。然而,就是这篇几千字的文章和拼凑而成的小册子,一百多年来,在全球范围内发行了5000万册,成为人类历史上最具影响力的经典读物之一。不分国籍、阶层、职业、时代,人们都能因主人公完成“不可能完成的任务”而备受启发。“把信送给加西亚”这句话,也成为了很多企业高管激励下属的经典口号,同时也是众多商学院管理课堂上经常被引用的经典案例。
