《蒙娜莉莎的微笑》是2002年迈克·尼维尔执导的一部女性主义题材的电影,它讲述了卫斯理女子学院的女师生们摆脱传统束缚、寻求自我解放的故事。影片从两性———侧重女性的角度反映了美国社会的变化,展示了“后现代主义”对艺术领域之外的社会生活的渗透。文章以《蒙》为视角,用社会史学和后现代社会理论分析和阐释影片所折射的20世纪下半叶美国后现代主义的兴起。
Mona Lisa’s Smile is a feminist theme film directed by Mike Neville in 2002. It tells the story of women and students at Wesleyan Women’s College who are free from traditional bondage and seeking to liberate themselves. The film reflects the changes of American society from the perspective of gender-oriented women and shows the infiltration of “postmodernism ” into the social life outside the field of art. From the perspective of “Mongolia”, the article analyzes and explains the rise of American postmodernism in the second half of the 20th century with the social history and postmodern social theory.
