据世界卫生组织统计,每年全球因道路交通事故致死人数高达1 30万,受伤人数高达5 000万。如不采取行动,预计到2020年每年道路交通致死人数将达到1 90万。而90%的交通事故发生在发展中国家,导致发展中国家的直接经济损失1 000亿美元。预计到201 5年,道路交通事故死亡将成为发展中国家5岁以上儿童和青少年的第一死亡
