１９８１—１９８３年和１９８６—１９９１年的两次作物野生近缘植物资源考察，查清了新疆葱属植物５９个种的分布地区及生长环境。按形态特征分，这５９个种包括韭类野生种４１种、１变种，葱类野生种５种、１变种，蒜类野生种１３种。
In 1981-1983 and 1986-1991, two wild relatives of crop plants were investigated to find out the distribution area and growth environment of 59 species of Allium in Xinjiang. According to morphological characteristics, the 59 species include 41 species of wild leeks, 1 variety, 5 kinds of wild onion species, 1 variety, and 13 kinds of wild garlic species.
