Based on the physical properties of ferroelectric liquid crystal (F L C), the structural principle and corresponding characteristics of the bistable ferroelectric liquid crystal (S S F L C) are described. The classification of the liquid crystal layer in S S F L C is systematically introduced And related features. The effects of different layer structures on the bistability and electro-optic properties of liquid crystal devices are described.
