大多数多媒体信息对于传输网络的实时性、连续性和稳定性要求非常高。由于IP传输协议存在非实时性和非连续性,所以在采用UDP/IP传输协议的Internet上传输多媒体信息,需要使用相应的纠错技术来消除传输过程中所产生的传输超时、封包丢失和传输误码等对于多媒体信息的影响。分析了ITU-T在实时IP传真协议T.38中定义的前向校验纠错技术,在原有基础上提出了改进建议并进行了相关的测试,改进后的纠错算法可以应用于通过IP网络传输标准的三类传真业务及其他多媒体信息,效果较为明显且实现简单。
