Zhang Dian： the Way to Investment， the Way to Entrepreneurship
“Venture capital is hard work and investment is a trained action， which relies on rationality. Venture reaction requires tenacity and passion， which emotionally very demanding. I guess my advantage is that I am able to combine reasons with emotions.” This is ambidextrous entrepreneur is Zhang Dian， chairman of the Chinese region of Thayer Lodging， a major US private equity firm and chairman and CEO of HUBS1. He shared some insights about the relationship between entrepreneurship and investment. “This process has a lot of setbacks and difficulties. Some will choose to leave. I am very happy to have had positive impacts on some people. It makes me feel fulfilled seeing some people grow and develop their career. I am lucky to be able to do things that I am interested in. Afterwards I will do more large investment that will impact the industry. In addition， I will share my experience with my students in class， just like my tutors do with me previously.”
