The increasing flow of international capital flows after World War II is more and more realized by means of direct investment. Foreign direct investment in the world has experienced the tripartite confrontation between the United States and Western Europe, the United States and Japan. Since the 1990s, The more developing countries actively participate in direct investment in the neighboring developing countries, and even the theory of investing in factories and establishing overseas investment in developed countries has also evolved in different contexts. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the inevitability and limitations of OFDI theory under different backgrounds, and to find out the commonalities of the theories produced by different research subjects with different backgrounds.
