The first contact with Mr. Ye Depei soon after I arrived at China Metrology magazine. In the summer of 1996, as the editorial department organized the manuscripts for assessing the degree of uncertainty, as one of the few senior experts in the country, Dr. Yeh had of course become our object of the draft. Mr. Ye was very modest and amiable at the time of the phone contact. Later on, he met with Ms. Ye one after another about the draft and the symposium. She also wrote many articles on the evaluation of the degree of uncertainty in the magazine Posted. The kind of peace and tranquility she radiates from her makes it hard to imagine that she had spent decades as a woman in the defense and measurement front. This article compiled by our magazine today gives us an opportunity to approach the elderly man who devoted most of his life to the field of national defense and military measurement so that we can closely feel her attachment and feelings to the measurement.
