Japan is planning to use its unmanned HOPE orbiter as a springboard for the future development of a single-stage orbiting space shuttle that has been led by Japan’s Space Development Agency (NASDA) Orbiter, scheduled to be launched by the H-2 rocket at the end of 1996. If successful, the orbiter will be able to fly to the Mir space station “H” It will operate automatically, unmanned and level down on the runway, and it is predicted that during the space docking, the space station’s remote-controlled robotic arm will grab the “Wish” orbiter and direct it to the docking station.
