本文认为,认清老年大学学员的主体性,对加深理解老年大学“以老年人为本”的办学理念,尊重教育者的主体地位,更好地发挥其主体作用,促进老年大学的工作发展具有重要意义。老年大学主体性的成因主要是其质的规定性决定的。老年大学主体作用主要体现在自主管理、自主教育、自我完善。探究老年学员的主体性,可启发我们更自觉地“以学员为中心”;创新老年大学管理方法,实现学员自主管理为主的管理模式;贯彻学员自主教育理念,改革老年大学教学方法;重视老年大学学员精神文化层面建设,发挥其继承光荣传统和弘扬时代精神的优势。
