The GPS system, a sophisticated satellite navigation system designed and funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, contains 24 satellites that continuously transmit geolocation altitude and time signals that run evenly across six orbits. In general, a GPS receiver on the ground can receive 5 to 12 satellite signals, and at least 4 satellite signals are needed to obtain the positioning coordinates on the ground. Three of them are used to determine the GPS receiver’s
