The second national conference on industrial telemetering and remote control sponsored by Chinese Association for Automation was joined by 168 attendants. 126 papers advanced were read and discussed in 6 panel sessions. Representatives from No. 704 Research Institute and Nanjing Automation Research Institute introduced The International Telemetering Conference in 1980 and Technical Committee 57 of I EC respectively. The Conference organized seminars on technical terms and standardization of telemetering.
